I am a happily married mother of five. Two girls, three boys and four grandsons make for an interesting group. Our youngest will graduate this year from Keaau High School and continue on to the Kupaaina Program at HCC! My husband is a wood craftsman/artist while on island and a commercial fisherman in Alaska. We come from living 30 years in a rural town called Homer which is 5 hours from the nearest city. We have been living on the Big Island for almost two years now and LOVE it here! I am very excited to be teaching during this amazing time of technological innovation. I began my public school teaching career in 2012 as a Title 1 K-2 educator and have since been at Mountain View Elementary teaching grades three and five. I enjoy trying out new things in the area of technology and especially love sharing the journey with my colleagues. I happen to be comfortable with being uncomfortable and by no means am an expert! I just enjoy telling the story as it unfolds. I look forward to the many wonderful opportunities our students and children will have as 21st century learners and my part in guiding them along the way.
